DISTRICT LEO FORUM 2009
Date: 6 – 8 June 2009 District Leo Forum 2009 was held in Santubong Kuching Resort from 6-8 June. It was attended by 452 Leo members, 10 Faculty/Leo Advisors and 22 Lions members. Congratulation to organising Chairperson, Leo Kelvin Ang and his team for putting up a successful Leo Forum. To whose Lions who have helped in one way or other, are highly appreciated . Special thanks go to Lion Daniel Lim of L C Sandakan Selingan for helping out in SECURITY COMMITTEE AND DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE of Leo Forum. REGION TWO FELLOWSHIP WITH DG IN SIBU

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT AND FELLOWSHIP WITH DG IN KAPIT
Date: 14 June 2009 Tree planting and donation of books were carried out in the afternoon together with Assistant Minister in chief Minister’s office YB Larry Sng in SK Kapit. Thereafter, we have an enjoyable fellowship evening with Kapit Lions. | |
REGION 5 Lions Clubs, LC RANAU AND LC KOTA BELUD OF ZONE 15 FELLOWSHIP WITH DG IN KOTA KINABALU
Date: 19 June 2009 | It was a fun filled nite with live band in attendance. Good crowd with good food & music that Lions were seen enjoyed in dancing and great fellowship. |
COMMUNITY PROJECT AND FELLOWSHIP WITH DG IN LAHAD DATU
Date: 20 June 2009 2 Clubs in Lahad Datu visited PUSAT PEMULIHAN DALAM KOMUNITI, Lahad Datu to present small food parcels to all Special Children in the centre. Glad to report L C Lahad Datu Mandarin has been associated with this project for past 9 years. Lion Kapitan Stanley Chin has played an important role in this long term project. | |
ZONE 14 KENINGAU, TENOM & LAWAS LIONS FELLOWSHIP WITH DG
Date: 26 June 2009 Great fellowship during the evening, 3 PIOs namely, Mary Law, William Tan & James Teo , together with Lions from Kuching, Kota Kinabalu join the participating Clubs & all are having great fun. Students from Tzu Chi University, Taiwan also joined in the fellowship. ZONE 14 RURAL COMMUNITY & HEALTH SERVICE
Date: 26 - 27 June 2009 Lions from hosting Clubs in Tenom, Keningau together with students from Tzu Chi University, Lions & friends from LC KK Sutera, Lawas, Miri & Kuching participated in abovestated event. Services provided including, hair cut, giving away spectacles for people with long sighted problem, medical & dental. Goodies are given to all Children present, the villages are given sugar, bread & other food items. Great fellowship between Lions & Kampong residents during the evening. We put up in classrooms with own sleeping bag. Its tough but with lots of fun & laughter. Many vehicles were damaged but all participants are taking it very positive & all are looking forward to the next RURAL SERVICE PROJECT. We learned a few good lessons & we will do better & more professional in future. Cheers to the Tenom 4x4 Team & Friends of KK Sutera, without them, the trip would not be possible. Special thanks also went to Dr. Tan Tsu Kun & his hard working team. We are happy to report all participants had arrived home safely, Thank God. Should there be any shortcoming or inconvenience caused, kindly accept my sincere apology. Participants, you all are great & brave people. I love you all. | |
